Overview

The set contains two clips: one weighted and one unweighted. Both are spring-loaded and have two spikes that grip the film firmly, so the strip cannot slip while it dries. Hang the unweighted clip from a rail, a line or a hook, then attach the weighted clip to the bottom of the strip; the weight at the bottom is what keeps the film hanging straight as it dries. The spikes leave small marks where they grip, so clip onto the leader or the very end of the strip, clear of the frames you want to keep. One set holds one hanging strip, so if you dry several rolls at the same time, allow one set per strip.

Common questions

Questions about this product

How do I choose negative sleeves?

For 135 film the standard page holds 7 strips of 6 frames; for 120, pages hold 3-4 strips. For long-term storage choose acid-free material that passes the Photographic Activity Test (PAT).

What size trays do I need?

Use trays one size larger than your paper, and plan on 3-4: developer, stop bath, fixer, and a holding/wash tray.
