## Description

The largest tank in the Paterson Super System 4 line, supplied with the AGO-modified three-hole funnel so it mounts on the AGO Film Processor and turns straight away. It holds up to eight 35mm films or five 120/220 films in one run, and it is the only Paterson tank that takes the Vintage Visual REEL - Paper 8.

In the box: the tank body with its watertight EVA cap, the AGO-modified three-hole funnel, an agitation rod and the lid. Paterson supplies the 3-, 5- and 8-reel tanks without reels, so add as many Paterson Auto-Load reels as you intend to run. Drilling the funnel does not affect light-tightness, so the tank still works for ordinary hand inversion as well as on the AGO. On the AGO in horizontal rotary, minimum chemistry is 950 ml for roll film (110, 135, 120/220/127), 750 ml for 4x5 and 9x12cm, 500 ml for 5x7, and 400 ml for 8x10 with the REEL - Paper 5, which takes RA-4 paper, black-and-white paper or large-format sheet film. Rotary agitation uses up to 60% less chemistry than traditional vertical or inversion agitation methods. Vertical stick agitation is there for chemistry that does not tolerate continuous agitation, but the AGO's time compensation is active in rotary mode only: in stick mode the temperature probe does not sit in the liquid, so compensation is switched off. The REEL - Paper 8, for RA-4 or black-and-white prints up to 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16 in), fits this tank and no other, and is designed for rotary processing only - it cannot be hand-inverted and needs the AGO.

## Questions

- **Are enlarger lens boards and negative carriers interchangeable?** No — they are specific to the enlarger maker and model. Check the compatibility notes in each product's specifications, or contact us with your enlarger model before ordering.
- **How do I choose a darkroom timer?** For enlarging, second-precision exposure control matters most. For film and print processing, a timer that can step through multiple stages is the practical choice.
- **How is equipment shipped?** Within Japan, equipment ships by standard tracked courier at 900 JPY, free over a 15,000 JPY product subtotal. Any surcharge for oversized items is shown clearly at checkout.
